American Outdoors Paintball Tournament Rules

Player Conduct:

  1. No foul language on the field!
  2. No arguing with refs or other teams!
  3. If there is a problem, go to the head Ref, after the game in a calm and respectful manner.

Marker Velocity:

  1. Max 300 fps
  2. Over 300 fps is a 5 point deduction plus 1 point for every fps over 300 fps (315 fps = 5pts + 15pts = 20pts)
  3. One player from each team will chronograph after each game. (Players will be picket at random).
  4. Each player chronographing will get 1 clearing shot not over the chronograph. (If you take our clearing shot over the chrono it will count!) One more shot will be fired over the chronograph.
  5. Electronic markers Must be left on.
  6. Barrel plugs will work if you have no safety - 1st time a maker is turned off, a warning will be given - 2nd time will result in 2 pts deducted from each marker turned off.

Starting the Game:

  1. At the start of each game, all players will face out, Markers pointing down or out.
  2. When the teams are set, a count down from 3 to 1 will be given; after 1 the command of Go will be given and teams may advance onto the playing field. (3,2,1, Go)

Player Eliminations:

  1. If a player calls him/herself out, they are out no matter what!
  2. If a player is called out and keeps playing one warning will be given. If the player continues to play, that player and one other teammate will be eliminated for the offending team.
  3. When a player is called out he/she must go to the designated area as quickly as possible.
  4. Dead players can't speak; if they do, a player from that team will be pulled.
  5. Players must keep markers with them; if left behind player will be eliminated!
  6. Eliminations can be made on any part of the person or equipment in control of that person.
  7. All calls are Final - we are human; mistakes can and will happen... we do the best we can.

Ending the Game:

  1. All players in the "dead" box must stay there until instructed to leave by a ref!
  2. All "live" players will be checked for paint marks. Once cleared, one player picked at random will be required to chronograph.
  3. Head Ref will give point tally to the score keeper before the next game starts.

Wiping Paint:

  1. Wiping Paint will not be Tolerated!!! - 1st offense - you and 1 teammate will be removed from the game. 2nd offense - you and 1 teammate will be removed from the game and you will be removed from the tournament.
