The History of MRS. DOE PEE'S BUCK LURE®....
Oct. 11, 1996, AMERICAN OUTDOORS owner Sam Collora harvested “The highest gross scoring, typical Whitetail ever taken with a bow”. An instant celebrity, Sam has spent much of his time since his spectacular bow kill giving seminars and serving as Guest Speaker for countless shows. Everyone wanted to know the exciting details of this record book harvest. According to Sam, a veteran bowhunter of whitetail deer for over 22 years, it all boils down to experience, luck and the right equipment. For Sam, the most important part of his equipment is the lure he uses. That lure is in this catalog.

In
1987, Judi Collora purchased a whitetail fawn for her husband Sam
to use as a reference for his whitetail taxidermy work. The herd
grew and by the fourth year, Sam had co-workers begging him to collect
the urine. The fresh lure, (uncompromised by preservatives) worked
great! In 1990, Sam built a deer barn with handling facilities and
collection rooms. In 1991 Sam and Judi began selling their pure,
undiluted whitetail urine to hunters across the United States. It
was a tremendous success. Those who used the Collora lure reported
seeing more deer and an increase in successful hunts. As satisfied
customers grew, so did dealers demand. As demand grew, Sam realized
many dealers did not have the capability to keep the product. Working
with the University of Iowa Pharmaceutical Dept. they were able
to develop a Freeze Dry process that allowed their urine to be stored,
with all of it's potency, on dealer shelves. MRS DOE PEE'S FREEZE
DRIED LURES were introduced in 1996. The result was a resounding
success.
